Usually 2–3 thin coats. Some shades naturally have different levels of coverage, so two might be perfect — or go for three when you want a little more.

We do our best to show every Mayvee shade as accurately as possible, but screens, lighting and skin tones can make colours look slightly different. Your nails get the final say.

Start with clean, dry nails and apply a base coat. Follow with 2–3 thin coats of colour, giving each coat a little time to dry. Finish with a top coat for extra shine and staying power.
Then try not to immediately dig around in your handbag.

Give each thin coat a few minutes before applying the next and allow plenty of time for your finished manicure to fully set.
And yes, we know that’s exactly when you’ll suddenly need to use the bathroom.

Good prep makes a big difference. Start with clean, dry nails, keep your coats thin and finish with a top coat. Protect your nails when cleaning, gardening or doing anything particularly tough on them.
Your nails are jewels, not tools.

Thick coats, shaking the bottle or painting the next coat too quickly can all contribute to bubbles. Gently roll the bottle between your palms instead of shaking it and stick with thin coats.

Regular nail polish remover will do the job. Hold a remover-soaked cotton pad against the nail for a moment, then gently wipe the colour away.

A little separation can happen when nail polish has been sitting around. Gently roll the bottle between your palms to mix it back together.

Keep your Mayvee somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight and heat. Store it upright with the lid tightly closed.

In other words, probably not baking in your car.

How long your polish stays at its best depends on how it’s stored and used. Keeping the neck of the bottle clean and the cap tightly closed will help stop air getting in and keep your Mayvee happy for longer.
